Guidelines for Translation of Sounds
Provide a summary, in English, of the sound recording.
For instance, if it is a radio play, you can outline the plot, introduce characters and their motivations, and describe what occurs in the story.
Try and include keywords which users are likely to search for, such as names of people (e.g. Sir Stamford Raffles), places (e.g. Fort Canning; a soap factory) and things/activities (e.g. fishing; bicycles).
If you are unsure of certain words, put them in square brackets [like this].
Don’t worry if there are words you are unsure of, someone else can work on it! This is the beauty of crowdsourcing - every contribution helps!
